An Illustrative Journey – The Magic Continues

February 18, 2016

Fashion and illustration have long been passions of mine, and you only have to peruse our office or stroll through my home to see glimpses of both of these influences everywhere.

At the moment, fashion illustration is very much on trend. While this art form has been around for a long time, it is now very much ‘in Vogue’ and has fast become recognised as the new way to capture those ‘style moments’ that for years were only captured through the camera lens.

For as long as I can remember I have loved drawing fashion objects. From models wearing couture gowns, to a beautiful shoe, to a ‘must have’ European accessory – it is quite incredible how some black and gold ink, a fine pastel pink watercolour or a darkened piece of chalk can bring something so dramatically to life. I love getting lost in the moment of what I am drawing, and I love thinking about the personality behind the illustration – where does she live, who does she know etc – for as they say a picture tells a thousand words, so perhaps a drawing tells a million….

I am so excited to launch my latest limited edition, exclusive collection later this week, which is an ode to my love of three things – illustration, fashion and Paris. Aptly named ‘To Paris With Love’ I cannot wait for you to see it. I am so proud of it and feel it is a true extension of everything my brand stands for, and its evolvement over the last twenty years.

Remember – every individual is an artist, the real talent is in believing in yourself.

I hope you love this collection as much as I do – available from Friday the 19th of February 2016.
