The ‘Magic and Miracles’ enchanting high tea event, championed by Cristina Re, was held last week in the exquisite Grand Ballroom space at The Windsor, Melbourne.
With the combined efforts of Monash University and the Cristina Re team, this special event came to fruition in order to raise awareness and fundraise for The Oxytocin Research Project. This project aims to save the lives of thousands of women in the developing world who are currently dying after child birth.
A simple injection of oxytocin prevents and treats post-partum bleeding, but the drug can’t be used in many countries because it requires refrigeration and has to be injected by qualified health care workers.
Dr Michelle McIntosh and her team at Monash University, are developing a powder form of the drug that can be inhaled, which will be life saving for vast numbers of mothers world wide.
So we joined a host of entertainers and celebrities for a fun-filled event. We styled the room using our tea ware ranges togethers with an array of exquisite blush florals by the divine Melbourne florist Flower Temple.
Fabulous gift bags and amazing giveaways were put together for guests to say thank you for helping Dr McIntosh and her team continue to work miracles. Sponsors on the night included beautiful gifted items from Bowie Accessories, Aneva, T2 Tea, The Wellbeing Web, BOUNCEinc Blackburn, Empowered Living, Mali Hair Spa, Stella Star Woman, Stoxbox, Stylesmith Styling.
